Ross Poulton ("I", "me"), ABN 52 747 365 194, is the proprieter of this website, running a privacy-first business providing services with good morals built in from the ground up. I am not a data aggregator and have no interest in growth-at-all-costs.
This starts with this very website: I don't use Google Analytics or other privacy-invading services to track website visitors. I don't embed Facebook or Twitter badges which follow you around the internet. I don't use mailing lists that track every "open" or "click" event. Those things are all anti-privacy and they go against what I believe in.
This document intends to formalise this privacy-strong position.
I intend to only collect data that is necessary and consider data collection beyond that to be a bug or mistake.
My apps store data only on your device or iCloud. Any information collected or processed by my apps remains on your device and is never transmitted to me or any third party, with the exception of Apple's iCloud Sync which stores data in your own account to which I have no direct access. I have no visibility into, and no access to, data stored within my apps on your device.
I do not share your personally-identifiable information with other parties, aside from Apple's iCloud.
I do not have ads in my apps which collect or report on personally-identifiable information.
My apps are designed to store the minimum amount of data necessary to achieve their stated goals. All app data is kept on your device and is not accessible to me. If you remove the app, that data is removed with it.
Some of my apps include iCloud sync. This keeps your data up to date across your own devices, such as your iPhone and iPad. This data is sent to Apple's servers by your devices, and kept within your own iCloud account. I don't have access to that data.
Because all app data is stored only on your device, you can delete it at any time by removing the app. I hold no copies of your data on my systems.
If you have contacted me via the website and wish to have your details removed, please email ross@rosp.org and I will action your request within one business day.
I limit use of third party services to where I consider it necessary to provide you with a suitable service.
My public websites (including www.rossp.org) do include visitor analytics from Umami, which does not track individual visitors across sites or use cookies. This is done so I understand where web traffic is coming from and what pages on my website people look at.
My websites and apps do not use 'web bugs' such as Facebook or Twitter buttons.
